The objectives of this SAMHSA Center for Financing Reform and Innovations (CFRI) sponsored webinar are to help providers of mental health and substance use services understand:

  • The basic concepts of Medicare including eligibility, dual eligibility (Medicaid/Medicare), coverage of behavioral health and related services, billing and reimbursement.
  • The basic concepts of Medicare Advantage Plans including how to assess and interpret information regarding insurance options.
  • How the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has changed Medicare coverage and additional changes that will occur after 2014.
