Shop Talk from Jim VandeHei and others at Hill Day 2011

by admin on July 20, 2011

Hill Day 2011 is well underway and we’re already reliving our favorite moments.  With much more to come, below are a few of them captured to remember the day.

Jim VandeHei from POLITCO talks shop at the opening session for Hill Day 2011. He went into a detailed analysis of the upcoming presidential race including possible Republican candidates Gov. Perry from Texas.

The main room at Hill Day was, clearly, brimming with behavioral health professionals eager to get on Capitol Hill.

Ellen Nissenbaum and Judy Solomon from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) got deep into details on Medicaid and the impact of proposed cuts.

Kelly Whitener from the Senate Finance Committee dished behind-closed-doors details to the Hill Day crowd (off-the-record).

Carl Clark, National Council board chair and CEO of Mental Health Center of Denver stands for a round of applause.

The Ohio delegation took an award to Senator Sherrod Brown at his office at the Dirkson Building. They paused for a photo op along with Linda Rosenberg, CEO of the National Council.

Below the Ohio delegation hands the award to Senator Sherrod Brown. The meeting was personable, detailed, and positive. As was the Senator!

Hill Day 2011 wrapped up with great success….and we look forward to Hill Day 2!
