Report Details Cost & Service Utilization for Dual Eligibles

A new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation provides data on chronic mental and physical health conditions among individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. The report finds that over 20% of dual eligibles have multiple chronic mental/cognitive conditions, compared to only 5% of Medicare enrollees. Additionally, 40% of dual eligibles have co-occurring chronic mental and physical health conditions.
